Our TOSCANO BIO superior quality extra virgin olive oil is produced inside the estate located in Roccastrada (GR) in the upper part of the Metalliferous Hills Park at 300 meters. above sea level: territory which has always been very suitable for the cultivation of vines and olives.
Our olive grove is made up of plants that are sometimes centuries-old but still more than 30 years old. The cultivation of plants is conducted exclusively in a biological way, therefore in full respect of nature and traditions.
The olive harvest is done exclusively by hand and crushed in the day, takes place at the end of October when the plants reach the right maturity in our territory.
From olives comes the blend that enhances the naturally healthy characteristics of the oil, making it become a high quality product which has been awarded the seal of excellence of the Tuscan IGP Consortium.
We like this oil because it talks about us, our territory of origin and our traditions.
Toscano BIO denotes a distinctly “Tuscan” personality.
It appears to the eye of an intense green color to yellow; the nose has a persistent fruity olive aroma, with a fresh taste with prevailing hints of cut grass, artichoke and almond, characterized by a bitter and spicy aftertaste that give the oil the main nutraceutical qualities.
The fruity tone and the decisive but balanced character make the TOSCANO BIO oil particularly suitable for enhancing the flavor of traditional Italian dishes, constituting one of the main elements of the Mediterranean diet.
To be used mainly raw or for short cooking at high temperatures.
